Joining Our Parish

What does it mean to be a member of Grace?

Grace's members are expected to help the Church carry out its mission of restoring all people to unity with God and each other in Christ.

This work is carried out by all persons in their work of ministry, which is to bear witness to Christ wherever you may be, and carry on Christ’s work of reconciliation in the world.  Members are asked to take their place in worship regularly, and to remain faithful in working, praying, and giving for the benefit of the Kingdom of God.

How do I move my membership record to Grace from another parish?

If you have previously been a member of another church, and would like to transfer your church membership to Grace, or if you desire to initiate your membership here, contact the Parish Administrator at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  You’ll be asked to provide some basic information about yourself so that we may complete your membership record and notify your previous parish.

Baptism

What is baptism and why is it important?

Baptism marks the beginning of a new life in Christ.  To become a member of any Episcopal Church, including Grace, baptism is the first step.  Contact Fr. Steve at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  to explore your interest.

Baptism is the sacrament by which we are adopted as God’s children, made members of Christ’s Body, the Church, and become inheritors of the Kingdom of God.  At baptism, we publicly renounce the forces of evil in the world, repent of our sins, and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.  We are baptized with water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and are welcomed officially into the fellowship of believers, the Church.

Confirmation

How do I sign up for Confirmation?  How can I prepare for and schedule confirmation?

Before you may be confirmed, you are asked to participate in a preparatory class.  Several opportunities are offered during the year and please check the church calendar or call 512-863-2068 for the schedule of classes.

Confirmation is typically offered twice each year.  To sign up, please contact Fr. Steve at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
