TAP - Teen Assistance Project
TAP is an outreach ministry whose purpose is to mobilize our Grace community to coordinate, strengthen, and develop resources and relationships through alliance with the Georgetown Project so that our children and youth become caring, capable and resilient individuals. The Georgetown Project works in partnership with community organizations to identify and solve health and social service issues affecting children, teens and families. they have a "Hope for the Homeless" task force working to establish a "homeless teen shelter" by the end of 2009. This shelter will provide a safe and secure environment for homeless teens. They also channel community donations to the Georgetown ISD Eagle Locker program to assist teen in need. This program provides food, clothing, school supplies and life skills to teens. Grace TAP is working with the Georgetown Project to contribute to the welfare and needs of homeless teens.
