TAP - Teen Assistance Project

TAP is an outreach ministry whose purpose is to mobilize our Grace community to coordinate, strengthen, and develop resources and relationships through alliance with the Georgetown Project so that our children and youth become caring, capable and resilient individuals.

The Georgetown Project works in partnership with community organizations to identify and solve health and social service issues affecting children, teens and families.  they have a "Hope for the Homeless" task force working to establish a "homeless teen shelter" by the end of 2009.    This shelter will provide a safe and secure environment for homeless teens.  They also channel community donations to the Georgetown ISD Eagle Locker program to assist teen in need.  This program provides food, clothing, school supplies and life skills to teens.

Grace TAP is working with the Georgetown Project to contribute to the welfare and needs of homeless teens.  If you would like to be a part of this effort, please contact Karen Izzard at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  for information.

Habitat for Humanity

Partnering with churches helps Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County focus te work of house building on demonstrating the love and teachings of Jesus Christ.  "Building on Faith" is a Habitat for Humanity house-build that joins local area faith communities in fellowship to build a Habitat home for a family in Williamson County.

Participating churches share the cost of materials needed to build a Habitat home.  A full sponsorship of the materials and resources needed for a Habitat home is $50,000.  Grace Episcopal is raising money to help sponsor a Habitat home.   This local mission project helps give a very visual and hands-on ministry for those within each congregation and with the Faith community in Williamson County.

For more information on Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County, or if you want to donate to the "Building on Faith" project; visit the parish hall with the outreach program displays.  Or contact Don or Pat Moore at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
