Daughters of the King

The Daughters of the King is an order for women who are communicants of the Episcopal Church. The Daughters of the King make a courageous commitment to serve God and the church through prayer, service and evangelism.  There is a morning group which meets twice a month and an afternoon group which meets monthly.

Episcopal Church Women

All women of the church are automatically members of the Episcopal Church Women (ECW) and are encouraged to attend any or all ECW gatherings. The Women of Grace Church are involved in diverse ministries inside and outside the parish. The ECW also has an active prayer shawl ministry.

Education for Ministry (EfM)

EfM is a distance learning theological education program of the School of Theology at University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. Participants commit one year at a time to meet regularly in seminars led by a trained mentor.  A 37-year-old, world-wide program based on seminary curriculum, each seminar group meets weekly for nine months.  The four-year curriculum covers Bible study (Old and New Testaments), church history, theology and ethics.

The seminars provide opportunities to share insights, discoveries and questions from the study materials and to engage in many types of reflective activity.  Seminars are a place of trust and confidentiality in a relaxed atmosphere.  We  have deep and thought-provoking discussions, we learn a lot, and we laugh a lot.

EfM prepares participants to make better decisions and to fulfill the Great Commission - to bring Christ to the world - in an effective and loving way.  EfM's 24,000 plus graduates have become a source of informred, committed, and prepared leadership for the church.

Cotton Timmins Library

Grace maintains a library with hundreds of books and resources donated to us by our former Rector, the late Cotton Timmins. Staffed by volunteers, the Library provides a wealth of material on faith, prayer, spirituality, the Episcopal Church and more.

During school hours, the Diocese of Texas requires that we keep all doors to empty rooms locked.  Church hours are 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday and 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday.  Any member of the staff will be happy to unlock the door for you if you find it locked.
