Grace Events

Tina Small is leading the committee that is in charge of Soup & Bread Dinners during Lent and Advent, the Parish Picnic each year, receptions for our Confirmands, Graduates and any other special occasions that come up during the year.  These are always fun "get-togethers" but Tina can use help!  Contact her at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Newcomer's Committee

The Newcomer's Welcoming Committee actively offers Grace Church family membership to visitors.  The committee members visit with newcomers between the Sunday services to give a temporary name tag, obtain personal information for follow-up, and share glimpses of the many opportunities for spiritual growth in our church community. The second function of this committee is to follow-up with newcomers to assist them in selecting a group or groups for participation. The committee is dedicated to fully involving our new brothers and sisters in our church family.

Newcomers Dinners

We have a dinner every few months to welcome all of our newcomers. This is a time for you to meet members of the vestry and other members of the church in a more relaxed atmosphere.  Contact Stevann Wilson at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Greeters

Join the friendliest ministry at the church. The skills you need to be a greeter are a sincere smile, a warm handshake, and a little church geography. The hours are easy - you’ll be there anyway - and the work couldn’t be more fun. Couples, singles or entire families can be greeters: all are welcome. We greet at the front door before and after the three morning services.  Interested? Contact Bob Woodson at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Ushers

The ushers greet and welcome the congregation and assist with their seating. They distribute the worship bulletins.  Ushers arrive early to make sure the church is neat.  During the service they collect the offerings, which along with the bread and wine are presented to the celebrant.  Ushers are available to assist the congregation with any situational problems which might arise.  After each service, they tidy the pews for the next service.  Ushers serve on a rotating basis. Contact Bob Woodson at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Grace Meals

We bring a hot meal to members who could use the touch of their church family in a time of stress - the new baby's first days home, a return from the hospital, an injury, a move, etc.  Please contact Pat Henderson at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Flower Ministry

What happens to the flowers after the four services on Sunday? Traditionally, the flower arrangement is taken apart and the flowers are taken to shut-ins, the informed and those who just need a brightening in their day. Grace needs help in taking these beautiful floral gifts to others to enjoy.  If you have time to give on Monday mornings, please contact our Flower Chairman, Jeanne von Hollerich at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The beauty of God's creation is a wonder to behold.  The beauty of a flower reflects the glory of God.  Presently, the flowers are professionally arranged by a local florist.  It is the hope of the Altar Guild, that a flower ministry can be formed to create and present our own floral pieces to praise God.  We can all learn together and make plans as we're forming a Flower Ministry.  If you love flowers and wish to find out more about this ministry, please contact the Altar Guild Directress, Katherine West at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
