The Verger serves as our liturgies' master of ceremonies, and strives to create a solemnly joyful liturgical setting for all services at Grace Central. The Verger prepares the church for worship and guides all activities during the service.

Vergers serve under the direction of the Rector. A period of intensive training is necessary before becoming a verger.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 22:6

Our children and young adults are a special part of the Grace worship experience.  At the 11:00 am service at Grace Central, our acolytes carry the processional cross and torches, as well as incense on high holy days.

Young people age 7 and up are welcome, and training is provided. The Grace acolyte program teaches youth the virtues of reverence and honor as they learn to serve God through serving His people.

Greeters and ushers are the welcoming face of Grace Church.
